Meredith spent the entire episode pondering if Derek is cheating on her. Of course Alex, Maggie and Callie all said he’s not, but the feeling is still there. Then Derek comes home and says a woman answered his phone and then cut to black.
Couldn’t they just let us know if he’s started a new life again? The writers really like to leave us hanging.
For the most part this was just another typical day in the hospital. A car accident happened and that brought in three victims. The driver, and the two people in the house that the man drove through.
The pregnant woman was talking on her phone with her mother oblivious to the fact that she had a cut on her head. Her husband wasn’t doing too well and had to be rushed into the surgery. The man he drove into the house appeared to be drunk, but when his wife showed up, she informed them that he has Alzheimer’s.
Maggie was appalled at the fact that the woman could leave her husband unattended. Ben kept trying to get Maggie to shut-up but she didn’t understand what he was doing. then Richard chimed in and told Maggie that his wife had Alzheimer’s. She felt so bad.
It turned out that man didn’t actually have Alzheimer’s, but it was a good segue into telling Maggie that her mother had Alzheimer’s. Maggie got a little dizzy when Richard told her and Richard thought this was from the news, but it was because she never got checked out after being punched in the face earlier by the driver. She thought she might have a concussion.
Richard wasn’t happy that she lied to him. He suggested that she might want to get checked out for the disease. Apparently she’s already been tested and she has the gene. That’s why she loves crossword puzzles. She was so afraid that Richard was where she got it from. She’s so relieved that it wasn’t him.
Callie and Arizona took at step forward this week. Arizona saw Callie kissing a girl and it was very awkward, but it wasn’t for the reason you would think. Arizona had dated the girl before and she’s crazy. Arizona was just trying to figure out how to tell Callie. Well I’m glad that that relationship was short lived.
Owen and Amelia keep trying to make it work, but every time they start to have sex, they get paged away.
April and Jackson were able to have sex. Though I think they should have waited till they got home. On the other hand, last week I liked how ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ was getting back to it its roots, and sex in the car would certainly being doing that too.
Jo had a hard time dealing with death this week. She just started crying when the baby started crying and she said to Alex later she just didn’t know how to deal with it all.
Bailey spoke to Jo later saying that the reason why she’s going to be such a great doctor is because she cares so much about her patients.
I would still like to see more with Jo. Can we give her a nice storyline?
And the Meredith streak continues! But will it now that Derek is back?
Next week we will find out if Derek cheated. Take a look at the promo:
