This weekend ‘Gilmore Girls’ is having a reunion and two more fan favorites are on board!
According to Entertainment Weekly, Milo Ventimiglia who played Jess Mariano and Jared Padalecki who played Dean Forester will now be at the ATX Festival. Matt Czuchry, who played Rory’s other boyfriend, Logan Huntzberger, had already confirmed. So all of Rory’s love interested will be in attendance!
Here’s who will be attending the panel: Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore), Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore), Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore), Scott Patterson (Luke Danes), Liza Weil (Paris Geller), Keiko Agena (Lane Kim), Danny Strong (Doyle McMaster), Jackson Douglas (Jackson Belleville), Todd Lowe (Zack Van Gerbig), Liz Torres (Miss Patty), Yanic Truesdale (Michel Gerard) and John Cabrera (Brian Fuller). We’re only missing Sookie, Kirk, Taylor and Babette and then we would pretty much have everyone.
Even without those few notables, most of the cast is reuniting for what should be a really fun event. I really wish I could see all of Stars Hallow in one place again!
The EPs Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino will also be there talking about their amazing show.
The show ended seven years ago, but fans still love it. Everyone was so excited when Netfilx finally started streaming the show.
I was upset when ‘Gilmore Girls’ came to an abrupt end. We did get to see Luke and Lorelai finally get back together, but I would have liked to have seen a wedding. We watched Lorelai plan the wedding and never actually got to see their wedding. Granted that was before she ended up marrying Christopher. But I definitely think Chris and Lorelai had to try to know that they weren’t right for each other.
Rory was always my favorite. I’ve been compared to Rory many times, but I swear that’s not the reason I love her. There’s few shows that we get to see a character truly grow up. We got to see her first kiss, her first boyfriend, her first break-up, her first time having sex. We also got to see her graduate from high school, the first day of college, her first spring break and graduating from college. We really got to know Rory through the seven years of the show and she really grew. If you re-watch the first few seasons she’s so innocent, but by the final season she’s matured so much. She was no longer the girl to be heart broken, she was the one to do the heartbreaking and was going off into the real world.
‘Gilmore Girls’ will always be one of my favorite shows. It’s great that the cast is reuniting, but can we see them reunite on screen too?
