Nina Dobrev gave her final acceptance speech for the role of Elena Gilbert on Sunday night at the Teen Choice Awards.
The actress who played four roles on The CW hit show won the Choice TV Actress award for the fifth time. She gave a bittersweet speech about change and how all of the roles on TVD have changed her life.
She thanked Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson for all of her roles, though she can’t keep track of how many characters she played anymore. She told her fans she loves them and thanked them.
“Thank you for coming along with me on this amazing journey,” Nina said.
The TVD actress is excited for the future, to grow and to learn.
This was just another reminder that we have lost Elena. How can she be leaving when she’s still winning awards for this great role?
Ian Somerhalder and Nina also won for Choice TV Liplock. The two have won numerous awards, not just at the Teen Choice Awards, for Elena and Damon’s epic love. Can Caroline and Stefan replace this great couple? I love Steroline, but that doesn’t mean I won’t miss Delena.
Candice Accola and Paul Wesley were also nominated for the Choice TV Liplock award. Fans love this new couple, could we be seeing them winning surf boards next year?
The Vampire Diaries also won Choice TV Sci-Fi/Fantasy for the fifth time.
Will the supernatural drama continue to win these awards now that Nina has left? Candice was also nominated for the Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi award, can she take it home next year?
