I’ve been reviewing Fear the Walking Dead for the last few weeks and I’ve really tried to get into the show, but I just can’t, and I’m officially calling it.
I was going to give it one more go, but I wasn’t excited about watching it at all and it just felt like a chore. That’s when you know it’s time to give up a show.
I’ve liked the storyline. I like seeing how it all began, but I just can’t get into the characters. I liked when Maddie went out beyond the fence, but most of the time I just don’t like her.
I definitely think the writers are setting up Travis to be the new Rick, but he’s not Rick. He may indeed be the leader of this group, but he’ll never be Rick. He may be handling things right now, but he won’t last very long when he gets to where Rick and co. are right now. He won’t survive that long.
Nick has been the only one that has accepted what is going on. If it wasn’t for his addiction, my money would be on him getting pretty far in the zombie apocalypse.
We never got to see how everything went down. Rick was in a coma and when he woke up, he was right in the middle of it. We’ve heard the stories, but we never actually got to see.
That was what I was looking forward to with Fear the Walking Dead, but it just isn’t living up to the name.
I really enjoyed the first episode. That was a really good introduction and it’s just went down hill from there. There’s been parts here and there that I really like, but not enough to continue to watch week after week.
I always have a lot of shows on my plate, so if you want me to add a new one, it has to make me excited each week to sit down and watch.
I was a little weary of this show, but after watching the premiere, I was actually really excited. It’s just let me down since the premiere.
The Walking Dead will be returning in less than three weeks. I’ll just wait for the original show to come back.
Is anyone still watching Fear the Walking Dead and if so, what keeps you coming back?
