Season three has begun with Elijah and Klaus at odds with Freya stuck right in the middle and no idea how to end their feud. She writes to Rebekah hoping her sister can shed some light on her brothers. It could just be that Klaus has crossed Elijah one too many times over the last thousand years and there’s nothing that can be done to repair their relationship.
Klaus is starting to look like the Klaus we were first introduced to in The Vampire Diaries. He has a little bit of help from an old pal, Lucien.
Lucien has known the Mikaelson’s for a very long time. He met them when the family were still getting use to be being vampires and before they were rich and powerful. Lucien showed them the way. He’s come to town to tell his sire of a prophecy of a beast that will bring down the Mikaelson family. The siblings may have gotten rid of their aunt and parents, but they have more trouble coming their way.
Lucien reminded Klaus of who he is and it’s exciting to see the old bad Klaus come out again. Klaus for a moment felt weak and went to his therapist Cami, but Cami is stronger than ever and sent him packing. She’s there for Klaus as a therapist, but only during his appointments. It’s nice to see two years of dealing with vampires has made Cami very strong.
There is also a new serial killer in town that looks to be Lucien. He (or whoever the killer is), is killing his victims in a ritualistic way. These killings have also brought another new character, Detective Will Kinney, played by Veronica Mars alum, Jason Dohring. This has me very excited this season. I loved Jason has Logan and I am looking forward to see his new character.
It’s unclear how much he knows about the supernatural ways just yet. He could be totally oblivious or he could know more than he’s letting on.
Vincent was supposed to mentor Davina, but she didn’t want to be mentored by him. One of her witches tried to break her hands. This led her right to Marcel. She doesn’t want to be seen working with the vampires, but she clearly still has a bond with the vampire that kept her protected.
Marcel’s words have an interesting affect on her because she takes Hayley captive. This may work out well for Hayley if she plays ball though, because she can go home to see her daughter. Davina has lifted the curse, but can but it back at any moment.
Do you like that the old Klaus is shinning through? How do you feel about Elijah and Klaus fighting?
