The Walking Dead writers were really trying to make a statement with this premiere episode. We don’t pick up right where we left off, we pick up right at the beginning of a huge mission.
It was an interesting episode because it kept jumping back and forth from the big mission to where we left off at. You figure out pretty quickly that there isn’t a lot of time has past between the two.
There were a few things that really stood out to me. First being that Rick wanted to kill Carter because he knew Carter was just going to screw up. And Carter did screw up. It makes me think if killing Carter when Rick had the chance would have been the smarter idea.
I don’t condone killing by any means, but sparing this man has put everyone caused a complication in the plan. Why was he even out there when they had an inkling that he wasn’t prepared for what had to be done?
Maggie and Glen had the same issue. Maggie was furious at Nicholas for getting Noah killed and trying to kill Glenn, but she gave him a second chance and he seemed useful this time around in the field. Even if Glenn said he wasn’t ready yet. Sparing Nicholas seemed to work out fine.
I guess it’s the gamble you take.
Morgan is a lot tougher than the last time we saw him and he’s really smart. Carol isn’t fooling him. Morgan sees right through her act.
Carol may have to stop her charade in the next episode. With walkers heading right for them, someone is going to have to protect them.
Season six is diving right on in with a massive mission, that failed, and now the walkers are headed right for the community.
These people don’t know how to fight and protect themselves. This is the whole reason they were trying to draw the walkers away.
Who exactly is setting off that horn that’s messing the whole plan up? It was going pretty smoothly up to that point. Granted it was a big endeavor to begin with.
Season six of The Walking Dead has only just begun and things are getting very nerve wrecking!
