Bruce Wayne has nothing to do with what happened to the Galavan’s family. Why take the boy when he doesn’t even know anything about this feud?
I was really enjoying this season of Gotham and then the writers go and throw in this weird family feud thing and I’m so disappointed.
While I don’t like this backstory, the impending chaos on Gotham is quite exciting and Gordon is eating up Theo’s hero story. Theo is acting like he’s never killed before and he wants to help Gordon clean up the city. Gordon is eating it up and has now promised to help Theo become mayor.
This is ten times worse than when he let Oswald live. Of course Penguin hasn’t become the villain he will be, so Jim can still live to regret that as well.
It definitely appears that Gordon makes a lot of mistakes as he tries to clean up Gotham and he’s on his way to be Commissioner.
Penguin’s empire is crumbling, but he has more important matters to tend do. He has to get his mother back and take down Theo.
Gotham is a weird world, normally you are rooting for the good guys, but you find yourself rooting for the bad guys a lot. I’m rooting for Penguin right now. If anyone can take down Theo, it’s him. He’s been underestimated time and time again and that’s when he’s at his best. I think he has a prime opportunity to do it once again.
He’s shown Theo his vulnerable side and now that he’s settled at the fact that Theo won’t just give him his mother back, he can act. And he’s acting in the craziest way possible. He’s taking Butch’s hand and sending him in as a double agent.
While Oswald is working on keeping the empire he’s created for himself, Ed is living a normal life. Has Nygma turned over to his evil twin? We never saw him talking to himself in the mirror this week, but Lee called him weirdly cool. That’s so not him. Is the the sweet Ed that we met in season one gone? He was so funny with all of his riddles.
We got introduced to another new villain this week too, Firefly. Wherever this character goes from now, Selena will have something to do with it. When we first met Bridget she was being pushed around by her half brothers and Selena told her to be strong, though I don’t think this is what she meant.
Then she was thrown into the ring to help her brother’s family business, arson, and she liked it. It’s sad because she was thrown into a life she didn’t want. Now she’s being hunted by the police.
One thing I really enjoyed during this episode was the store that criminals could go buy whatever they needed. It was like a Walmart for criminals. No wonder the criminals are so good in Gotham, but what will they do now that the police have taken it?
We’ll get to see more of the Firefly next week:
