Some logic definitely went out the window when Glenn managed to get himself out of that near death situation. Glenn is known for getting himself out of really bad situations though. There have been plenty of times we’ve held our breath until he was in the clear.
If it was any other character, I would not believe that they could make it out alive when your companion is being eaten on top of you.
If it was any other character, we probably would have just said he was dead and moved on, but with Glenn it was very personal. Characters die on this show all the time, but there are some characters you just don’t touch and Glenn is one of them.
When I was agonizing over whether Glenn was alive or not, I thought Steven Yeun must hate what he’s doing to the fans and I was right.
He appeared on The Talking Dead and expressed just how hard it was for him. He hasn’t been going out and he’s been eating a lot of take out.
Steven said: “I feel bad that I couldn’t say anything to everyone and family and friends. I’m pretty sure I’ve lost friendships along the way. But yeah, it’s kind of been overwhelming. I didn’t even really know how to take it all.”
Steven, we will forgive you, but it will take a little more time to forgive the writers.
He said he feels relieved an grateful and we are right there with him.
We can breath a little easier now that our Glenn is okay, but it’s never safe in this world. There will be more walkers and more people trying to kill them. So we will probably have to hold our breath many more times.
