For an episode full of reveals, I was quite disappointed, because there wasn’t too many surprises.
I wasn’t surprised at all that the Duchess killed Domino. I said it was her last week. I actually felt bad for Helena, I didn’t think she deserved to be accused of murder. She has kind of got herself in that spot, though. She could have just told Eleanor the truth, but after being so truthful, she chose more lies.
I think my favorite part of the episode was when Cyrus brought the other maid in and declared she was who the ring was meant for and she was carrying his child. I really don’t believe that she was the intended person for that ring, but it certainly made good pay back.
This means Helena can never be Queen because this maid will be Queen and then her child will be. Well played Cyrus, well played.
I do feel bad for Violet. All she did was try to inspire the King and because he loved her, she was taken care of, probably by the Duchess. We don’t actually know for sure what happened, but that’s the safest bet.
I didn’t really like that the Duchess took care of her too. It wasn’t really a surprise, assuming that’s what really happened, but she was just so innocent. There seems to be a lot of collateral damage with this family.
We all know Liam. He’s a really nice guy with a big heart, he just likes to party. And he was never meant to be King, so what else is a prince to do? It’s true that the rest of the world doesn’t get to see him through our eyes. There’s a reason why Ophelia chose not to be with him or why Liam chose to push her into her dreams, his family.
Now everyone can see the Liam that we see each week. And I just loved that comment, #KingLiam. He didn’t need to kill someone or go to extreme lengths. The people want him as their King and if only they could actually choose him.
I was really upset that we didn’t get Jasper this week. We didn’t even get a little glimpse of him, but I guess the writers are deciding to make up for that with a pretty full episode of him next week. At least that’s what the promo looks like.
This brings us to Ted. In the promo he doesn’t want Jasper to continue looking into the King’s death, but why? Doesn’t Ted want to know who really killed Simon? Does Ted actually have something to do with his death? Now that would be a surprise or would it?
All season his dead wife has been haunting him and it now seems like Ted is guilty, but guilty over what? It’s too late to feel guilty over his wife. From season one I would have never guessed that Ted had anything to do with the King’s murder, but now I’m not so sure.
I liked Ted in season one and slowly I’ve been losing respect for him in this season. I officially lost respect for him when he planted a bug in Liam’s flowers. He had ulterior motives for speaking to him and that’s just not right.
Liam and Eleanor are the most innocent ones in this whole mess and he should be protecting them.
The writers are really trying to make us believe that Ted killed Simon. If he did, at this point it would be no surprise and I really want this is to be a big surprise. After falling in love with this show, I don’t want it to get predictable now.
