The midseason finale set up a totally new direction for Supernatural and that’s saying something after eleven seasons. The winter premiere proved to be very surprising and brought back a bromance.
Who would have thought that Cass would say yes to Lucifer. I stand firm on this isn’t the right way to defeat the Darkness. We worked so hard to get the devil in his cage last time, why are we letting him out again?
Cass do you remember what happened the last time? Sam sacrificed himself and Dean gave up hunting. Plus you brought Sam back, without his soul.
While that all was fun to watch, clearly that isn’t something the boys want to relive.
This leads to the question of will Sam and Dean survive the series? The days are numbered. The show will probably come to an end within the next couple of years. What is the end game? Will the Winchesters live happily ever after or are they destined to die?
To be honest, I don’t know which I want to see happen. My love for the characters makes me want to see them happy, but for the story, it may end with them dying.
Let’s get back to the story at hand. Cass saying yes to Lucifer. I’m not sure if Cass really believes this is the right plan, but I’m sure that angel had something to do with his decision.
She called him dispensable. He is most definitely not dispensable. He’s an integralĀ part of the team. There’s just three of them, though, and sometimes Crowley. And sometimes Rowena when they kidnapĀ her and make her do their bidding.
Everyone has their part to play. Cass had to go check on Amara because Dean was getting sick getting too close. Plus he had to go see Crowley, since Sam was in hell.
It was so great to see Crowley and Dean working together again! They outsmarted Rowena. Most of the time I would be upset that the males outsmarted the female, but when the female is a villain, we will let it slide.
I’ve missed the bromance moments between Dean and Crowley. It was nice to have them back together, even if only a short time.
I’m not sure what I was more shocked about, Cass saying yes to Lucifer or Lucifer killing Rowena. While killing the witch is totally in his character, I just didn’t see it coming.
She was the last woman standing on the show. We need more females on this show. I’m still not over Charlie getting killed off.
I was only slightly surprised that Rowena was working with Lucifer. She was fangirling out in the midseason finale and the winter premiere. So from on looker’s point of view, you would never have guessed these two were working together.
Lucifer coming to Rowena in her dreams was one of the best parts of the episode. She clearly has some motherly guilt over Crowley and wishes for normal things, like Christmas.
Where is God? His sister is terrorizing the world and his son is about to do the same in the name of taking out his aunt. This is just heaven’s angels fighting among themselves and the humans becoming collateral damage.
God should be coming back to take care of his sister. I know he’s left things to the Winchesters before, but this is his sister.
How are the boys going to defeat Amara and get Lucifer back in the cage?
