Sunday night Lydia made a phone call that suggested she could be working with the terrorists. Could Owen’s daughter be one of the bad guys?
I spoke with Blair Underwood on the PaleyFest red carpet and he said it’s very ambiguous right now. You don’t know what their agendas are or who is pulling what strings, but that’s exactly how they want it.
“What I can tell you is, the connection as father-daughter is very strong, it’s going to a place it’s never been, it’s growing strong, it’s going to a place where they both want it to be,” he said.
If their relationship will ever get there is the question. There are a lot of things that could interfere, like the AIC, CIA or the terrorists.
We don’t know where their allegiances are and the characters don’t know where each other’s allegiances lie.
Owen is supposed to be very good at what he does, but does he know that there are two undercover agents at the farm? Blair thinks he probably has an idea that they are there. The questions is, is he a part of the AIC or not? He likes being a mystery. He likes that the audience does not know whether his character is a good guy or a bad guy.
