This week we weren’t dealing with a meta-human, we were dealing with a man-made problem.
It’s always sad to watch episodes with kids lashing out because they’re being bullied at school. I wish there was a way to connect with these kids and get them to see that everything will be okay. On second thought, I wish we could get the bullies to stop being bullies. Either way, this is a problem we need an answer too.
I was wondering how a crazy giant monster could exist. I know we deal with meta-humans every week but this was a bit outside the realm of reality in this show. It figures it wasn’t real. It was funny watching Cisco (Carlos Valdes), H.R. (Tom Cavanagh), and Barry (Grant Gustin) try to deal with this giant creature, though.
I thought H.R. was just a bit crazy and I didn’t trust him but turns out he’s useless. He’s good for laughs but he can’t help them stop meta-humans. Can we please have our Wells back now? At least H.R. is not up to something sinister.
Julian (Tom Felton) has been getting on my nerves because how can you not like Barry? Finally, he’s coming around. It only took The Flash stopping him from doing something very bad, killing a kid. Julian doesn’t know that it was actually Barry who saved his butt yet but at least he’s giving Barry another chance now. For all the mean things he says to Barry and the difficulty he gives him, he’s actually pretty smart and would probably be a good guy to have on your team.
All of this is nothing compared to the fact that not only does Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) have powers, she could be turning evil too. I can’t blame her for lashing out when that guy wanted to use her as a test subject but she should really open up to Cisco and Barry. Those are the two people that can help her control her powers. Now it turns out that using her powers is a bad thing and she’s still using them, granted I don’t think she has any control whatsoever at this point. I just keep wanting her to open up to her team. They can save her from herself. I truly believe if Barry and Cisco know, there’s no way she would turning evil.
We also got to meet Caitlin’s mom! She’s not as cold as you would expect. She’s a scientist through and through, though. It’s nice seeing Susan Walters as a mom of another supernatural being. She’s getting really good at playing this role.
This was a fun episode but I am very concerned about Caitlin. She’s such a sweetheart but her own pride is making it hard for her to open up. I get that she’s scared but she has friends that can help her.
