I don’t want The Vampire Diaries to end but the promo for the series finale is getting me very excited. Nina Dobrev is back and she’s very confused about being back so soon.
It’s unclear if Kai is the one to bring Elena back, if Bonnie dies or if they find another way but one thing for sure is that she’s back. Nina promised that she would be back for the series finale and she kept her promise. Two weeks ago she took to Instagram to show her script:

It’s hard to get too excited for the end but I am looking forward to Delena being reunited. Julie Plec, that better be the plan.
It’s been interesting to watch all the characters deal with the loss of Elena. The show even had a resurgence in her absence. There’s no way this show could have ended without her returning. I loved the way Julie wrote her leaving the show. It meant that she could come back at any time. Not that dying is an absolute exit for any of the characters.
The end is near and I’m very sad but this little teaser of the finale is getting me a little bit excited for the end. Only a little because I know I’ll need my tissues ready.
