I was really looking forward to this episode because I thought we would see Oliver back in action again, sadly that was not the case. At least we got to see Slade in action.
While we didn’t get to see Oliver (Stephen Amell) back in action, we did have a lot to fear in this episode. The FBI agent is getting dangerously close to figuring out who Team Arrow is. She’s way too smart. I would normally love a female in power like this getting this close to the truth but in this case, it’s not good.
I don’t know why they keep thinking they are dodging her or putting her off the sent. I think they are making themselves look more guilty. And I use the term guilty as in her eyes. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) may not have rambled as much in her interrogation as she usually does but she certainly didn’t help the case. I think the only person worse in an interrogation than her would be Curtis (Echo Kellum) because he’s basically the female version of Felicity.
Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) may have told the team to stay away but she played right into the FBI agent’s hands. The whole point of her telling the team to stay away was so they didn’t get caught and now she’s made herself look very suspicious.
I have to admit when Dinah came on to the scene I wasn’t a fan. I wasn’t really a fan of most of the new recruits. I like the original Team Arrow but over time I’ve learned to like these new characters. To be fair, I started liking Dinah before this episode but I really liked how honest she was with the team. She could have lied and not told the team it was her old partner but she didn’t. I guess after everything she put John (David Ramsey) through she can’t hold anything back but I still give her major props for telling them the truth.
I had a feeling he was a metahuman but I didn’t want to think that because that’s not what Arrow is supposed to be about this season. It’s supposed to be grounded more in reality. That really upset me. Leave the metahumans to The Flash and let’s get back to the original Arrow.
Oliver is certainly taking a different role in the show this season and I really don’t like it. I want him back as the Green Arrow. I thought that we would see him back in action this week but that was not the case. I like that he’s being more honest. That is very new for him. Felicity is helping him get there. William (Jack Moore) is definitely still worried but just like Felicity said, he’s understanding.
One thing I will say about this season is I love how much they’ve been putting Curtis and Felicity together. I love these two together. They are so much fun. Can we have an episode with them together pretty much the entire time? I love them together more than I love Olicity and that’s really saying a lot.
