If you were wanting the final season of The Originals sooner, your wish has been granted. The CW has moved the show to Wednesday at 9 pm. This can’t be good for new show Life Sentence. While there have been some shows that have moved to Friday and survived, everyone, knows that this is the timeslot where shows go to die.
The Originals will now premiere on Wednesday, April 18 at 9 pm, after Riverdale.
I wish the network would have moved The Originals to a new night sooner. The show might have gotten a couple more seasons but I don’t think the move is going to make much of a difference for the final run.
As for Life Sentence, I’m not sure why the ratings haven’t been so great. I’ve been live-tweeting the show and there are definitely a lot of people watching, from all over the world even. Of course, a lot of that streaming is not getting counted in views.
It would be interesting to take a look at how many people are streaming this show, whether on the CW app or illegally. There definitely seems to be a lot of buzz around the show, it’s just not adding up in ratings.
The show is cute and a lot of fun to watch. So, why isn’t it resonating in ratings? I believe people are watching it, we’re just not counting those people. Life Sentence was trending on Twitter this week, so people are watching.
