Katie Cassidy was feeling very emotional after the San Diego Comic-Con panel when she sat down at the press room table. I got to speak to her about what Arrow means to her and what she’s most excited for in the final season.
“It’s very cinematic. It’s 10 episodes,” says Katie. “It’s like a tribute to every season, almost. Each episode is like a movie. Marc really wants it to be that big. And I think every episode should be eventful, it should be an event.”
She really hopes that fans will make it an event and sit down together to watch it.
Katie spoke about how close the cast has gotten, how they all have each other’s back, but it’s also symbolic to the fans. They have people to look up to.
It’s amazing when they tell us you changed my life. Watching Laurel… a lot of people come up to me and say “you saved my life. I’m sober because of your character.” It’s really touched me. It’s really incredible to hear that we’re doing a good service.
She is most excited about directing episode three this season. She took the Warner Bros. Directing program to get herself ready for her directing debut. She learned a lot of the logistical side of it that she hadn’t really thought about it before.
