Oswald is already starting to fall. He was trying to control his new empire, but Theo took the one thing from him that would make him do anything, his mother.
If Theo kills his mother, I think we will start to see a very different Penguin. His last shred of humanity is tied to his mother. He also feels a friendship with Gordon, that was never really there. Now Gordon is going to be coming after him. Of course Oswald isn’t too worried about that. He has some dirt on Gordon.
Gordon made some tough choices to get his job back, but now he either has to come clean and face the consequences or try to cover them up.
The Captain, Nathaniel Barnes, isn’t messing around. He’s already fired several corrupt cops and said that breaking the law will also now result in arrest. Nathaniel seems to really like how Gordon is trying to clean up the city, but will he still feel the same way when he finds out what Gordon did to get his job back?
Nathaniel has some lofty dreams about saving the city and sadly we all know they will fail. While they’re going after the Penguin, Theo is going to become mayor of Gotham and have complete control. He’s thrown Oswald under the bus, so he can rise up. Apparently not all the villains are rising this season.
Since the beginning of season one, all Ed wanted was for Miss Kringle to return his feelings and now he’s finally getting his moment. While he’s fighting his two personalities, he’s getting the girl! I only wish that the sweet Ed from before got the girl and not the crazy guy he is now. Though he’s not quite a villain yet, granted he has killed once.
The Riddler’s origin story has been very interesting. It’s been really, really slow and at times I just wish he would get more screen time, but it’s been good. We got a lot more screen time of him this week.
I wish Alfred sat down at the table with Bruce and Theo. Maybe Alfred could see through this man. Theo distracted Bruce first with the lack of evidence the police have found about who killed his parents and then with his beautiful niece. That’s just so wrong. Theo really doesn’t want anyone to suspect what’s coming.
At this rate no one will know what’s going on until it’s too late. Then how will they clean up their city?
Next week Theo is going after Bruce:
