Sadly I don’t think there was any other way for Bridget’s story to end. She was trapped in a horrible situation. She was a slave to her brothers and then they gave her a taste of something and she loved it. Then Selina filled her head with being free and the combination of everything lead to a tragic end.
If this wasn’t Gotham, she would probably just be dead, but since this is Gotham, things don’t end with death.
It’s not really surprising that these cases end up in a place that looks worse than Arkham. This must be where Batman’s villains are born or at least where they sit before Batman rises.
This was a very sad episode. Selina trusted Gordon and he failed. He really did do everything he could. He tried to stop Bridget from hurting herself, but she had gone crazy like Selina said. There was nothing he could do.
I have to say I was quite impressed with Lee. She sat there so calm with a gun pointed at her. Or maybe she just knew Selina wouldn’t actually use the gun. Then Gordon walked in so calmly and just apologized to Lee and went and got a beer. Clearly none of them thought Cat was a threat. It was a nice little almost funny moment before a sad moment between Selina and Gordon.
Selina’s story wasn’t the only one to have a tragic ending this week. Ed may have had the most tragic of them all. He was so in love with Kristen and they were having such a good time and he had to go and tell her that he killed Dougherty.
Nygma couldn’t handle her being so afraid, so he told her, but that was his downfall.
She said she wanted a man with more fire in him, well she got what she asked for and it cost her her life.
This must be the turning point for Ed. He was going a little crazy since the season started, but Kristen seemed to even him out. Now that she’s gone and by his own hands, that’s got to have an affect. I will miss the sweet Nygma.
When we leave off Oswald is about to go rescue his mother, but is his mother alive? Is this not a trap? Do Butch’s loyalties still lie with Penguin? Tabby was trying to flip him.
Tabby slipped up this week and I don’t think Bruce noticed, because he was to infatuated by a girl. Tabby had blood on her face and if only Bruce wasn’t distracted, he may have seen what’s coming for Gotham. Alfred was trying to warn him about distractions.
Maybe Gordon can get down to the bottom of this. He thinks it’s odd that Penguin hired the Pikes to burn all those buildings. He’s right, it doesn’t make sense.
Next week everyone is going after Penguin.
