‘The Royals’ Review: More Secrets and Lies

Just when I was thinking we could trust Jasper, one of his secrets is revealed. I was really hoping that Jasper and Eleanor could work it out. Of course he could really care for her, but we still don’t know what led him to the palace to begin with.

She told Eleanor her name was Mandy, but her name is Samantha and it looks like she’s Jasper’s girlfriend. What is their end game here? I don’t really understand what they’re up to. One of Jasper’s most enduring qualities is how mysterious he is, but he’s been so trust worthy this season.

I guess it wouldn’t be The Royals without adding a secret to the mix.

This is just making it harder for Eleanor to forgive Jasper. If he does genuinely care for her, how does he come back from all of this?

It probably is time for a #guyatus for Eleanor, but I think drugs are a worse vice for her. Is she really having a #guyatus if she’s fooling around with a girl? Yeah it’s a different gender, but it’s the same thing.

I feel for Eleanor. She’s so lonely and she’s clinging on to a person that was nice to her. She trusts too easily and then they always break her trust. It’s time for the princess to put some walls up.

We learned a lot about Domino this week, but that just left even more questions. They may have had something to do with Ted’s wife’s murder. Was that man playing on Ted’s guilt or did Ted really have something to do with the King’s murder? Ted seems like such a great guy, but definitely has some connection to all of this.

We finally found out how his wife died. We’ve been hinted to it, but we got to see a flashback of it now. He was just doing his job as horrible as that sounds. He can’t protect the King and his wife.

The secrets on this show go deep, but that’s probably why we love it so much.

I’m loving Mr. Hill. Could it be that Eleanor has found a perfect match? He’s too old too sleep with and he’s on top of his game. She can run away from him and he’s sill there watching over her. That’s a great bodyguard.

But lets take a serious note for a moment. Two of the royal family have been murdered and you give your bodyguard the slip? That’s not really the smartest thing to do. Luckily for Eleanor, she can’t lose her new bodyguard easily.

I’m not really sure what to say about Cyrus. He’s found a new low. He gets drunk and drives into his brother’s memorial. He does want the people to like him, but he likes the power of the title more than being accepted.

He’s sure too keep his reputation at a low point after this stunt. Do any of us really want to see him climb out of this hole he’s dug for himself? I do feel bad about his cancer, but everything else in his life is his own doing. Is it bad to say his cancer is poetic justice?

What is it with this maid that’s just throwing herself at him? It has to be because he’s King right? She can’t really find him attractive.

There are other very attractive men on this show and we got two shirtless scenes, even if they were very brief. The Royals sure knows how to give us what we want, while sending us on a roller coaster ride of secrets.
