At New York Comic-Con on Saturday, Shadowhunters released the trailer for season two. Season one was introducing Clary and us to this new world, season two, we’re at war.
It looks like everyone is going to be tested this season. Clary (Katherine McNamara) is still figuring out this world but she’s a tough girl. Her mother tries to protect her but she can’t anymore. The truth is out and Clary has to find her own way.
Jace (Dominic Sherwood), I can only assume is lost. He’s getting to know his supposed father and becoming an enemy to all of his loved ones. The bond between him and his friends will be tested this season.
The Clave seem like they are ready to write Jace off and go on the offensive, while Clary, Alec (Matthew Daddario) and Izzie (Emeraude Toubia), want to save him.
The promo shows a lot of Clace action, though not in a happy way. At one moment it appears we’ve lost him for good, but another he’s jumping off the ship with Clary. One can only assume, this season will be about reaching him.
Everyone’s favorite couple is back, Malec! Their relationship looks to be tested too. Magnus (Harry Shum Jr.) tells Alec not to push him away. It’s nice to know that while Alec will be trying to save Jace, he has someone to pick him back up again.
Simon is still trying to figure out his vampirism but he looks to be accepting more of who he is now. I’m looking forward to seeing him discover who and what he is.
Get ready for what looks to be an intense season. Shadowhunters will return Monday, January 2, 8/7c pm on Freeform.
