Pretty Little Liars star Ian Harding didn’t waste any time after wrapping the Freeform hit series. He just landed himself a series regular role on a Fox pilot.
According to TVLine, Ian will be going from Rosewood to Antartica to for a comedy co-written by New Girl Creator Liz Meriwether.
He will play a failed Wall Street guy turned researcher called Andrew. This half-hour comedy entitled Thin Ice will star Good Luck, Charlie star Bridgit Mendler who has big dreams and a love for science.
I’m always skeptical about comedies. Few new comedies have caught my attention. I will definitely give this one ago just to see Ian on the comedy side of things. I don’t blame the actor for going to the funny side of things after helping Aria fight ‘A’ for seven seasons and not to mention dealing with a not appropriate relationship. Anyone would need a break from the drama after that.
It will be hard to see him as anything other than Ezra Fitz. Maybe that had something to with why he decided to do a comedy. He’s trying to not get stuck as always being Mr. Fitz. Whatever the case, I’m happy it didn’t take long for this guy to find a new gig.
