A fittingly appropriate episode title for next week, “All will be Judged.” It was almost a shame that just as Barnes came into his powers, he was locked up and we didn’t really get to see him do his thing. That’s the fun of this show, watching the villains destroy Gotham. In the future, it’s all about Batman saving Gotham but right now it’s about the villains.
Well, at least it was. Now we’re in the part of the series called “Heroes Rise.” They may have dubbed this part of the season a little too soon. Seeing as the first episode of this arc was Nygma (Corey Michael Smith) becoming Riddler. Now we get to see Barnes (Michael Chiklis) in full action. And this doesn’t look like an easy fight for Harvey (Donal Logue) and Gordon (Ben McKenzie). Nygma and Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) are prisoners while this is going on but what are the chances that Gordon will need their help?
I think that we’re still in “Mad City.” Gordon, Harvey and Fox (Chris Chalk) may be trying to save Gotham but Gordon and Harvey have been trying to do that since the beginning.
Season three has been one crazy season, also appropriately entitled “Mad City.” We’re coming down to the last few episodes. How will this season end? Since this part is called “Heroes Rise,” does that mean the heroes will end up on top this season? The heroes winning doesn’t mean all is good in Gotham since this is a show that makes you root for the villains.
