I had no idea Freeform was going to give us a look at the first hour of the premiere of The Bold Type but I’m very happy they did. Rarely have I ever seen a premiere that’s so good, a premiere that gets me hooked right away. I’m the kind of person that gives a show a few episodes before I call it. It’s hard to say in the first hour (or half hour) if you’re going to love the show but I think I found my new obsession.
This is based on Joanna Coles of Cosmopolitan magazine. How much is fact and how much is artistic liberty, I don’t know but I love that she had a supportive boss.
I loved how Jane found comfort in this magazine, like a big sister. I relate to that. I didn’t have any siblings. I found comfort in TV shows. They’ve shown me the way when no one else could. So, I get it. And I love what this magazine means to her.
I like Sutton because she may have gotten into a relationship she shouldn’t have but she’s demanding what she deserves.
I like Kat because she’s passionate but she doesn’t cross that line.
Another reason I love that Freeform showed us this premiere early is because I’m getting sad that the end of Pretty Little Liars is coming but now I have my new obsession to look forward to. Just wish I recorded this episode, so I could watch it again and again and again.
Tune into Freeform on July 11, 9 pm ET for the two-hour series premiere of The Bold Type.
