‘Teen Wolf’ Review: Who Will We Be Saying Goodbye to?

There have been some pretty great episodes of Teen Wolf but I don’t think any have been as intense as this one. Jeff Davis is definitely trying to make this the most intense season of the series and he’s succeeding.

The thing I’ve loved most about this show is the character development. The writers push the characters. The characters are not perfect but they always rise above in the end. Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) is going through some great development this season. The Wild Hunt is affecting him but he’s dealing with it. It’s not easy but he’s definitely trying to over come it. I was so worried when he had Nolan (Froy Gutierrez) there. I thought he might take an innocent life but at the same time is it an innocent life? I guess that would depend on how close Nolan got to killing him. Liam broke his hand trying not to let his anger over take him and then Theo (Cody Christian) came along to help him out a bit, even if that meant knocking him out.

All of them are being tested this season. With an entire town trying to kill them, how do you fight back? Well, the first plan was taking out their weapons but that didn’t quite work as planned. But it was great seeing Argent (JR Bourne) and Lydia (Holland Roden) save the day. He took out most of those men and Lydia came in as the backup. Then she was the main woman when she took down the door. That was one of the best rescue scenes I’ve ever seen.

Throughout the entire episode, Lydia kept hearing something. I thought it meant, as she said, they should have aborted the plan, but it wasn’t about the plan, it was to come later. It was to come when they were safe back in Scott’s (Tyler Posey) house. The entire town was armed and attacked the McCall house. And then there was a pool of blood! Whose blood was that?! We knew there were deaths coming. Was that Lydia? Was that Melissa (Melissa Ponzio)? I can’t believe they would leave it on that note. I’m going to be nervous the entire week waiting to find out who it was.

We did get one happy moment through all the intensity. Malia (Shelley Hennig) and Scott kissed! I didn’t know how I felt about it in the promos but now that I’ve seen the relationship blooming, I’m totally shipping this couple. They are so cute together.

I guess when I’m worrying about who died, I can come back to the great kiss between Malia and Scott to help me through the week.
