Last week on Younger we got a huge bombshell thrown on us but looks like Charles is waiting to confront Liza about the earth-shattering news he received.
Kelsey (Hilary Duff) and Liza are definitely kicking ass at their jobs this season and I hope that is a trend that will continue. Of course, the writers have us on the edge of our seats wondering when Charles will confront Liza. We may not have to worry about Liza getting fired because as Charles’ lawyer said, that would be a nightmare. I don’t think Liza would fight back if she got caught, though. She knows what she’s doing is wrong. I’m still happy that her job isn’t in jeopardy as of right now.
I’m really feeling for Josh. He got hurt again. I hate to say it, though. This was always going to happen. We all saw this relationship wasn’t real. I’m happy that it’s over already. It makes last season’s finale anticlimactic, but so happy he’s done with her. That opens Josh up this season. I love that Liza is being there for Josh but I’m not sure if the writers are leading back to that or not. In the preview he says, “what if I’ve already met her”, talking about the right person. Could he be talking about Liza? The writers can’t exactly end this love triangle until the show is over, so this could be their way of keeping it alive.
I had two favorite parts of this episode. One, Lauren (Molly Bernard) starting her own PR firm and describing it as Heeler Good. Not exactly what I would use in my ad campaign but for her, it works, and I love her getting out and starting her own company. Not to mention Diane (Miriam Shor) telling her to slip into her dms. Classic.
I almost love every scene that Maggie (Debi Mazar) is in and I loved even more that she became part of the tourist tour she hated, and she’s getting money for it too. Maggie is the friend we all should have.
The stakes have definitely been raised for this season. Now that Charles knows the truth, I have no idea where this season will take us. I’m ready.
